In 1963, Odette Etcheverry, a recent immigrant to America, began importing Basque souvenirs to San Francisco. With the help of her family and friends, a dream became a reality.

Odette's Basque Imports grew to be a well-known importer of Basque goods throughout the United States. Odette retired in 1996 and the family business has been continued by her eldest daughter Suzanne Etcheverry Fosse.
